Who Said Cobs can't be bred ?....
Our quality homebred cobs and where they are now

Here is an account of some of the little diamonds we have bred so far. All our brood mares are by renown influential sires carrying important bloodlines, such as: Rakish Paddy, King of Diamonds, Crosstown Dancer, Enniskeane Pride, Colman and the late Blue Henry. Using a particular combination, we are able to breed quality cobs, all related to Polaris and Madam Butterfly, the resemblance and in particular the way of going is evident. Although we may never breed another cob as successful as Polaris, or as versatile and elegant as Madam Butterfly , they are all individuals and with their own talent and characters. This year we have used a homozygous coloured cob stallion with a couple of our cob mares, Clannad Bess is one of these, she has been so influential and consistently given us very high quality offspring and is the dam or grand-dam of all below and also our two Irish Draught Stallions, so 2008 should be very interesting as to what she will produce for us, and non-better to start a line of coloured cobs. But of the youngsters, who knows what lies ahead for them, we hope we have more champions out there. We do try to keep track and many owners keep us up to date with how they are doing, which is great. Whatever their chosen destiny we wish them much success, after all it is as good for us as it is for them so go for it and fly our flag!

Polaris
Our most successful homebred and now retired from showing. A purebred Irish Draught by Silver Jasper out of our lovely Clannad Bess. Sold as a two year old colt he went on to win over 55 major titles with Lynn including Cob of the Year and the British Isles Title. He also carried the side-saddle. Polaris must rank among the most profilic and successful show cobs of all time. A true heavyweight and at only 15hh he was the perfect stamp of a cob. His fabulous light movement runs in the family and is evident in so many of his relations.
Vega
Half brother to Polaris and another quality heavyweight pure bred Irish Draught out of Clannad Bess by Timahoe Heather. He had a successful novice cob show career with Lynn and was then sold on. Unfortunately we believe he was injured in a car accident which ended his show career.
Madam Butterfly
Purebred Irish Draught by Blue Henry out of Clannad Chance Desire. This lovely lady is a close relation to Polaris and Vega. One of the most successful show cob mares. Known for her elegant light way of going she qualified for RIHS and HOYS 5 years in succession. She won many classes and championships during her show career, including working cob, side-saddle and at the IDHS Breed Shows winning over £1500 prize money. She has also been very successful at dressage qualifying for the Regional Dressage to Music championships and also has quite a pop over jumps. We hope to breed from her in 2008.
Tinzletown
Tin Tin is a pretty Irish cross 4 yr old roan filly out of Crystal Diamond (ID cross) by our homebred Irish Draught stallion "Blue Gray Perhaps" currently just over 14.1hh and a great little mover. Went to a lovely home to make very smart WHP and allround little cob but was a little too small for major shows. A charming very bold little horse with very sweet temperament and what a mover.
Barney Bodger
Irish Draught, gorgeous dark bay Heavyweight Cob. By "Blue Gray Perhaps" an absolutely loveable doey eyed character. he is a fabulous example of a heavyweight cob, up to height 15.1hh on the dot.
Not Now Kato
Quality Lightweight cob, over 9 inch bone. Super balanced and eyecatching mover. Just over 15hh. Half brother to Barney Bodger by "Blue Gray Perhaps" Successfully competing in Lightweight Cob classes with new owner Des Kennedy and regularly gaining very high scores in dressage. Dashingly handsome cob with a most endearing temperament, look out for him, we predict more success in 2008
Tihuana
Heavyweight cob 9 1/2 inch bone. approx 15.1hh. Half brother to Barney Bodger and Kato. By "Blue Gray Perhaps" Made a successful debut in cob classes at local shows this year and will be ready to compete as a heavyweight in 2008. By all accounts a real little luvvy who just adores all the fuss and pampering associated with going to parties. Also has the paces to make a successful dressage career
Ginger Spice
Another Quality Lightweight Cob by "Blue Gray Perhaps". 15hh, lovely forward straight mover. A joy to work with and the most endearing temperament, has the most super walk. Sold to a showing home who soon found she had rather an impressive pop over fences, so took a new direction

Ready2Rock
Very Handsome Large Heavyweight Cob by "Blue Gray Perhaps". Delightful chap sold to family who adore him. Lots of bone and again has the movement. Shown successfully in hand now doing ridden work.

Esperanto
Very Handsome gelding had a successful showing career. Now in Baltimore, USA. Another quality son of "Blue Gray Perhaps". 15.1hh Fabulous mover. His two full sisters are cobs.
